WE CARE:
Our choices for the environment.
WE CARE ABOUT THE FUTURE!
We want our materials to be as good as possible for everyone’s future, for our planet, without losing quality.
Therefore, we have mainly chosen to work with a material called Q-nova by Fulgar.
It is a material made from recycled fibers. From the fabric waste that the factories at Como in northern Italy would otherwise have thrown away.
For each kg of Q-nova fiber, there is 159 liters less water consumption, compared to new production of the same material. Their production of Q-nova also means 80% less carbon dioxide emissions compared to new production, and the Fulgar factory is also powered by renewable electricity.
We think that’s great!! You can read more about all the additional benefits of Q-nova here.
All our solid color garments are made from Q-nova.
Please watch the short film below showing their production.
FOR YOUR COMFORT AND FOR YOUR PLANET!
Our striped garments “BOSS LADY” are unfortunately not made from recycled materials, so there are 2 things we have done to compensate for that.
No1. The most important thing we have done is that we have focused on making garments that are so nice that you will hopefully want to wear them all the time, and that they are of the best quality, so that they will last for years to come! Wash after wash.
A garment that stays in the drawer, or that piles up after a few washes, is a pure waste of our resources and our planet!
No2. We also send SEK 30. for every “BOSS LADY” garment sold to WE FOREST in Sweden and their work with Agroforestry.
Agroforestry contributes to recreating a natural ecosystem. It involves letting trees grow among crops and livestock, so that all parties can benefit from each other. The trees provide shade, feed for the animals, compost material and also moisture for the soil, as an agroforestry tree actually contributes more water than it itself consumes. The result of this is greater harvests, a more pleasant climate and increased resistance to the effects of climate change. You can read more about WE FOREST here.
So regardless of which garments you buy from us, they will always in some way promote the environment, either through more environmentally friendly manufacturing or by climate compensation and asking you as a customer to shop sustainably. Nobody can do everything but everyone can do something!
We are of course also working on obtaining patterned fabric in recycled microfiber for future productions, so that we can deliver our garments only in recycled materials in the future.
It is also important to us that the materials are kind to you who use our garments.
Therefore, it goes without saying for us that all our fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified. This means that there are no toxic chemicals in the fabric that can harm your skin or your body, that neither cause allergies nor cancer. Good thing, we think, that there is a guarantee for it.
If you want to delve more deeply into what it means, you can read more about OEKO-TEX here.
Our fabric supplier is certified by CentroCot.
We cannot carry the logo, as we have not applied for certification, but here is our fabric manufacturer’s certificate. Type in their code here for a label check.
We have also chosen to produce within Europe i.a. to make as locally produced garments as possible. So that we don’t have to ship the clothes by plane or boat.
For more sustainable shopping, we do not produce any number of garments, as in the fast-fashion industry, but only a select few. Our choices for you are quality and EVERYDAY LUXURY!
Our packaging is also made from recycled and/or fully recyclable plastic. We’ve also made them in a format that can be useful for other of your things, so you can choose to reuse them and/or to recycle them.
Something we have learned during this journey is that not all plastics are fully recyclable, so we chose to work with PVC, which is fully recyclable, and therefore a somewhat better environmental choice. Read more about PVC here.
The information sheet sent in your package is made of FSC-marked and PEFC-marked paper. FSC, the Forest Stewardship Council, ensures that the product comes from responsible forestry that takes people and the environment into account. Read more about FSC here.
PEFC works for sustainable forestry that is both economically, ecologically and socially sustainable.
You can read more about it here.
And then finally the outer packaging, which we send your order in. It is made of recycled material, can be resealed upon return so that you can reuse it, and of course can also be recycled.
So with this we want to urge you to BE A FASHION RECYCLER!
